Bary, I hope you got permisson to go onto the Leekbrook site, there have been problems recently with people trespassing on the landslip site at Cheddleton. Like the photos though. Thomas

Hi Thomas
Huh. Some hope of getting 'permission'. I have often tried to verify exactly where I stand on Leekbrook access and the only answer I got was that as I am a member of the CVR I am perfectly entitled to walk alongside the old platform and signal box as long as I don't go on the tracks or become a distraction to the drivers But I often see MANY times, people just walking on the tracks (even into the tunnel when a train was coming!). And they never get 'told off' or anything, except when I tell them, but not being a particularly fit person I choose my 'victims' wisely here :-) So why should I, a fully responsible, safety-conscious and train-driver-respecter go to any more trouble or worry? The path alongside the platform there is used regularly by walkers getting from the tramway to the Stoke/Leek line overgrowth anyway.
Be interested to hear what people think about this 'problem'.
