Does anyone know how many have got to be changed No idea, but around 170 were changed on the Consall-Froghall section, which is a similar length. I would imagine there would be more though, as this section has been deteriorating longer.

From what I can gather (I talked to a member of the P-Way) they are doing it the old BR way of changing 1 in 3 sleepers that require work doing on them. This will be a temporary measure until a more permanant remedy is agreed upon. The worse section is the 1/2 mile section south of Froghall Junction. Looking forward to the DMU Gala and seeing the Sandite car after its resurrection and paint job. Kep up the good work Chris. Thomas

With the permanent way now having 2 modes of transport ( Wickham and Dmu) how come they seemed to be pushing trolleys still. Has the money spent by the NSRC been well spent or could it have been spent on something more useful. I was glad to see some photos of them putting down sleepers between the tracks at Cheddleton, ready for the work on the landslip, it's seemed to having being dragged on for ages with nothing happening. I'm looking forward to seeing the work done at Cheddleton as well. I've been lead to believe that now the point rodding has been moved the landslip is the only physical barrier to laying the second half of the loop?
You know the Pway pretty well Thomas, do they have the track/turnout in stock ready for a possible loop this year?

Chris, I was talking to Bob Beaumont the other week and it seemed as though the loop is low on the priorities, no track or points yet. I think they want the platform extention to go in first. I will be glad when it finally takes off. Thomas

HAS ANYONE SEEN ANY OF THE OAP-WAY GANG DRIVING THE BANANNA LATELY IT SEEMS AS THOUGH THEY ARE NOT ADAPABLE ENOUGH OR IS THAT PERHAPS ITS NOT RELIABLE ENOUGH. EITHER WAY ITS ABOUT TIME THAT THE DMU WAS USED FOR WHAT IT WAS INTENDED FOR.
