Welcome to CHURNET VALLEY RAILWAY FORUM.
This forum was set up to help lovers and followers of the CVR to exchange postings and comments of all description. It is hoped that everyone who has an interest in the CVR, whether full members or just supporters will take part in creating a useful facility for everyone to enjoy. In the end we hope to have a strong and fully functioning tool that becomes an essential first point of call for all members and supporters. Please make this page your home-page and you are sure to keep up-to-date on the local postings on-line. Please feel free to contact myself (Admin) if you have any questions or suggestions on how to improve this site. New categories can be added if you can think of any please let me know.
How to Join in.
It is very easy to take part in the forum.
You simply click on 'new thread' or 'reply' to post your comments. This will then request a username for a guest. Or to allow faster posting and more privileges you can register , which is the recommended method to prevent abuse and to allow more stability in the forum. Registering is easy-peasy too and takes just a few seconds. No personal details or information that will identify you are needed. You can remain completely anonymous, under a nickname, throughout your membership.
When you return some other time, don't forget to 'log-in' first otherwise you will be treated as a guest and will have posting limitations until you have logged in properly.
Please do not take this next bit the wrong way, but setting up this forum and maintaining it is a lot of hard work. Due to the odd 'malicious-minded' idiots who try to ruin all this hard work, occasionally we may get them abusing the site. While I hope to curtail such activity from the concept, it is not always possible to spot them immediately so anyone who spots anything before I have, please contact me by PM and I will attend. I have to point this out because our host, Proboards' give no quarter when dealing with any such postings and as a result they could withdraw the site without warning so all then will be lost.
I ask you therefore to be vigilant and think very carefully about what you are putting in your posting before sending.
Many thanks and good luck.
