Hadrian & Co (Est 120 AD) Builders of fine forts & fortifications (railway jobs undertaken against our better judgment) have started to rebuild the wall between the Froghall signal box and the main station building. Completion date

Hi there Hadrian, Hope it will not take as long as the platform to do, what length and height is the wall going to be and is it in its original position? Thomas

The wall is going on the original foundation and is 13.5 ins wide for the first five courses. then one plinth course followed by seven courses at 9ins. all done in Flemish bond. On top will be a capping which we may have to cast ourselves unless someone knows where we can acquire some from

Does this person own a bus company? or did he build the original Hadrian's wall? To whoever he is please keep us informed of the walls progress. Thomas

The wall is now progressing slowly upwards and the bricks supplied by Andrew (many thanks) have been well chosen and look the part. On orders from higher authority a small guard hut is to be erected by the openings in the wall and a guard with fixed bayonet positioned in an attempt to stop the OAP-WAY sneaking home early on Wednesdays

Hadrian, I hope the OAPway gang do not sneak off early,if they do put Wellie Bob on guard duty, then they could sneak by whilst he is on on of his many tea breaks. Are you perhaps a POW captured from the elite SOS troups on the railway? Thomas.

This year 2006 is the 100th anniversary of Crosville and there will be a big collection of preserved Crosville buses at Llandudno at Whit I think, along with a certain person from civils who will exhibit a Singer car.

The reason I am asking is that it would be nice to know who it was who made the original comments in the first post. I can now give my reply to that post. Andrew did not, as far as I am aware, give a completion date. When the 'job' was originally taken on, it was stated that the wall would be completed in spare time, just like any other job a volunteer would take on. So the time taken for the wall to be completed should not be a chance to make fun and amuse ourselves! I think offence was taken when it was found that that the wall was being done without him at least being told beforehand.

Aidan, No offence was intended just a bit of light banter, we appreciate what Andrew has done for the railway so far and I'm sure if he was not told it must have been an oversight. Keep smiling. Thomas.

Coming into Froghall Station today I noticed that some volunteers were finishing off the wall between the signal box and the station with coping stones. What a difference these have made and just in time for the steam gala.Congratulations to all involved with this project. Now for platform 2 hopefully. Thomas.
