Following some comments about the hibernating nature of the forum could I make a few suggestions?
1) The Young section has never really been used and the topics are pretty much duplicated in the main section above it. Would the forum be tidier if there was simply the main section at the top followed by the guidance topics at the bottom?
2) Perhaps tidy up some sections by removing the old threads (The ones with a last post over 2 or 3 years ago possibly?) - This would make the sections more topical as, for example, brief subjects such as Brocklebank Line haven't been talked about for a few years now!

Hi DMU
Thanks for your comments and suggestions.
As you know this forum has been left to just 'tick over' for a long time now with there being so few active members and so the time and effort required was just not worth it. I had thought of revamping it many times but for the simple reason that no one hardly ever posts why should I? It took me a fair amount of time initially to set up what I thought might cover just about every category and I still think that if newcomers visit the site they might find something of interest in the older posts. Remember it is a 'public' forum and not everyone is familiar with the CVR peculiarities - and they certainly ARE peculiar at times :-) So I think leaving all posts in until the content is much more dense is probably the way to go for now. Unless I am overpowered by the majority (of three!).
But the point about the youngsters section is valid. The reason again was I wanted to encompass everyone right from the start and what I forgot at the time was that no one under 13 can register, so effectively negating this section. But after this I thought if some of the 'old-uns' would post things that young-uns' might find interesting it might encourage them to get to want to visit the CVR. Hence my own postings in that section.
But as you say, a lot of clutter for small rewards so I will probably remove this section.
Is there any new sections that needs to be added?
One more thing;- If the new Leekbrook forum has to be terminated for any reason (eg due to sensitivity matters, or lack of interest), all the content will be transferred to this site under a new (maybe discrete) category section so nothing will be lost.
May I say it is good to see people like you taking such interest.
I will hang on a while to see what the other two say first though.
Cheers.
