The railway again seems to be short of the old readies, do you think it is time to rein in and consolidate what we have got? More losses last year to add to previous years. More staff taken on both full and part time, jobs started and not finished because priorities had changed, extra running days with trains running with low capacity, main engine last year an industrial loco, a steam gala with limited passenger seating and the coaches looking tired. The yard at Cheddleton looks like a scrap yard ,what an impression to give passengers, it's a good job that all the staff and volunteers are pleasent and cheerful. Lets leave the stations this year and concentrate on the coaches and track to give everyone who comes down a day or two to remember and make the railway some money at the same time. Thomas

Thomas, Not a good idea to go discussing this on a public forum, or you may find solictors breathing down yer neck. Keep your ear to the ground by all means, but I would guess it is something best kept to word of mouth and not spashed everywhere that anyone can read.

Thomas I know, I have seen and read the memo and intend to be at the meeting. What I was suggesting was to keep it amongst ourselves till something is said publically. I just don't want you to say something wrong or out of place that could have a solicitor etc banging on your door. I learned this the hard way ! Trust me!
